Grooming Salon Safety & Best Practices: Injury prevention, kennel safety, fire safety, and salon hazard management.
Emergency Preparedness & Response: Handling choking, bleeding, burns, shock, seizures, allergic reactions, and other medical crises.
Pet First Aid & CPR: How to stabilize an injured pet, perform rescue breathing and CPR, and recognize signs of distress.
Understanding Pet Vital Signs: Learn how to check a pet’s heart rate, respiratory rate, and gum color to identify early signs of illness or injury.
Zoonotic Diseases & Infection Control: Protect yourself, your staff, and your clients from contagious diseases that can spread in grooming salons.

Earn Your 2-Year Pet First Aid+CPR and Pet Safety Certification

Students who successfully complete this course will earn a 2-year certification in Pet Groomer Safety, First Aid & CPR, demonstrating competence in emergency response and pet care procedures.

Certification is valid for two (2) years and serves as proof of training for salon owners, employers, and clients.

Location: In-person group training available throughout Hawaii (Oahu & Neighbor Islands)

Group Size: 3–10 participants per session

Schedule: 1 day (8 hours)

Format: On-site at your salon or designated location

This course is provided as professional education and staff development. Enrollment does not create an employment, contractor, or staffing relationship. Training is not classified as consulting or temporary labor services.

Certification: 2-year Pet Groomer Safety, First Aid & CPR Certification

Only registered groomers or salon staff may attend and participate. No guests, unpaid observers, or non-staff attendees are permitted during training.

Group 1: 3–5 participants – $575 + tax
Group 2: 6–10 participants – $1,075 + tax

Applicable Hawaii General Excise Tax (4.712%) is calculated and added at checkout.

Group 1: 3–5 participants – $750 + tax
Group 2: 6–10 participants – $1,250 + tax

Neighbor Island pricing includes instructor travel expenses (airfare, transportation, and lodging).
